BEHIND THE LENS

Photography has always been a therapeutic activity for me. It allows me to look at, as well as approach subjects and situations in ways that I normally cannot. Looking through the lens of my camera allows me to make sense of the world. It allows me to look in depth, focus, and concentrate on things that I normally would miss, or disregard.  During my travels I have come in contact with many different people, cultures, and extremely shocking things. My camera and my photographs help me step back, take a moment, and make sense of these things.
